Amalfi Coast

Duration: 8 hours Starting from: €280.00

The famous Amalfi Drive, called the road of a thousand bends, is 55 kms long and is considered one of the most beautiful coastal roads in Europe. The actual road was built on the edge of the mountain chain called “Monti Lattari” and stretches from the town of Piano di Sorrento to Vietri sul Mare.

Our scenic tour will take you along the twisting roads stopping in Positano, Amalfi and Ravello (the length of the stops is to be arranged with the driver).

First stop will be at the town of Positano. Born as a fishermen village, throughout the years it became famous and fashionable thanks to the beauty of the area and for the several international movies shot there, just to mention a couple: “Under the Tuscan Sun” & “Only You”. It is still a major holiday resort for many famous people and international actors.

Leaving Positano, we will head towards our second stop, Amalfi, and we will be driving through the pretty little towns of Praiano, Furore and Conca dei Marini.

Amalfi was one of the four Maritime Republics of Italy along with Genoa, Pisa and Venice. The Cathedral, dedicated to St. Andrew, is one of the main sights in this seaside resort. It is built in the main square and it dominates all the town.

Weather and time permitting, you can also choose to have an optional extra short boat trip along the coast. As a last stop, we will be reaching the tranquil village of Ravello with its famous Villa Rufolo. Here, Richard Wagner wrote "The Parsifal" and every year, in his memory, the village of Ravello hosts a musical concert in the spectacular Rufolo gardens.

You will return to Sorrento in the late afternoon.
